Chair, Governance & Board Development Committee
Larry has more than 20 years of banking experience with Bank of America, and he recently transferred to Portland after successful tenures in the bank’s Seattle and Houston offices. He holds a bachelor’s in political science from Oregon State University and an MBA from Michigan State.

IMMEDIATE PAST CHAIR: Colin Cave, MD: Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon, Northwest Permanente, P.C.

Colin is a past president of the Oregon Medical Association.  He graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in medical microbiology and earned his M.D. at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.

Christopher F. Adamek: Practice Director, ACME Business Consulting, LLC

Chris holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Portland and a Master of Science from the University of Oregon, Lundquist College of Business. Chris has more than a dozen years of consulting experience leading systems and process improvement initiatives in a variety of industries including high-tech, financial services and consumer products.

Shelley Barnes, MPHA: Family Consultant, Oregon Health Sciences University

Shelley works to provide support and resources to families who have children with a recent diagnosis of autism. Her grandson was diagnosed with autism several years ago and was served by the Kerr Early Intervention Program. This fueled her interest in disabilities and the need for family support, education and treatment. Barnes was previously a nursing home administrator and holds a master’s of public health administration from Portland State University. She currently serves on the board for Acumentra Health.

Douglas C. Bogen: Area Manager, Eaton Electrical

Doug is responsible for the territories of Oregon and Southwest Washington for Eaton, diversified industrial manufacturer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and manufacturing engineering from Oregon State University.

Mariel Combs, JD: Attorney, Pacific NW Region, U.S. Department of the Interior

Mariel works with the Office of the Solicitor in the Pacific Northwest Region where she serves as legal counsel for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology at Lewis and Clark College and her JD at Lewis and Clark Law School.

Angela Hult: Director of Corporate Philanthropy, Regence

Chair, Marketing & Public Relations Committee
As the director of corporate philanthropy, Angela oversees Regence's corporate philanthropic and community involvement efforts, employee giving and volunteerism. She also serves as executive director of The Regence Foundation. Angela has more than 15 years of regional and global experience in communications, community and business relations, including positions at PacifiCorp, Columbia Sportswear and First Interstate Bank (now Wells Fargo).

Tom Lasley: Director of Destination Services, Providence Health & Services-Pastoral and Spiritual Care

Currently acting as director of Destination Services for Providence Health & Services, Tom was previously the Regional Owner and President of Ticketmaster-Oregon from 1988 to 2001 and served as the acting manager of the Portland Beavers through 2004. Tom attended the University of Oregon.

Douglas D. Morris, JD: Partner, Ater Wynne LLP

Doug’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities and general corporate representation of private and publicly held high technology and high growth companies.

Celia Murphey: Community Volunteer

Celia is a Portland native who graduated from the University of Oregon and later earned her master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She worked as rehabilitation counselor with injured workers, account executive, human resources generalist and manager in the insurance industry for 20 years. Celia is a full-time mom to three children, one of whom was born with Down syndrome. This has driven her interest in promoting awareness of the special needs community, including early intervention and the need for safe housing in a dignified, independent setting.

David Reinhart: Managing Director, Felton Properties, Inc.

Chair, Operations Committee
David has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience and specializes in corporate clients with complex real estate needs. Reinhart also spent time as a Congressional aide, including time on the Appropriations Committee negotiating federal budgets. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration at Oregon State University.  

Margaret S. Rowland, MD: Chief Medical Officer, CareOregon

Chair, Program & Accreditation Committee
Margie was previously the medical director for both Providence Health Plans and PacifiCare of Oregon. She earned her M.D. at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rich Smith, JD: Vice President Human Resources, Kaiser Permanente, Northwest Region

Rich's human resources career has spanned more than 20 years at companies such as Pfizer and Mobil where he has gained expertise in strategic planning, talent management, performance management, labor relations and organizational effectiveness. Smith holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in business from the University of Oklahoma, and he earned his JD at Quinnipiac College School of Law in Connecticut.

Serilda Summers-McGee: Program Director, Partners in Diversity & Leadership Portland, Portland Business Alliance

Serilda has also served as the Assistant Dean of Residence Life, Resident Director of Residence Life and the Program Director of the Multicultural Center at Reed College. She holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral science from Grand Valley State University and a master's degree in student affair administration in higher education from Ball State University. She is currently working on a master's of business administration at Willamette University.

John Thoma, CPA

John most recently served as president of Benefithelp Solutions which provides administrative, COBRA and Flexible Account services to corporate and not-for-profit clients. John began his career at Price Waterhouse and later joined First American Title Insurance Company followed by Schnitzer Investment Corp. He earned an accounting degree from the University of Oregon.

Karin Wandtke, CPA: Partner at McDonald Jacobs

Chair, Audit & Compliance Committee
Karin works with a broad range of nonprofits and businesses to provide both traditional accounting services and consulting. She earned her undergraduate business degree from the University of Oregon and has a master of business administration from Portland State University. Karin serves as the Chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee.

John Ward: President, R & H Construction

Since 1981, John has served in numerous leadership roles at R & H Construction, a commercial general contractor based in Portland, Oregon. He assumed the role of president in 2006 and today leads a staff of more than 175. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of Puget Sound.

David L. Wilson, DMD: General and Cosmetic Dentist

Co-chair, Champions for Kerr Gift Society
Dr. David Wilson is a practicing dentist with an interest in prosthodontics and anesthesiology.  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association and a past-president of Multnomah Dental Society. A Portland area native, Dr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Sciences University.
