More than $311,000 was raised at Albertina Kerr's 24 Hours of Kerr, an exciting event that culminates a year of giving into 24 hours of events to support Albertina Kerr. 24 Hours of Kerr included a dinner, auction, musical entertainment and world-class golf.
24 Hours of Kerr kicked-off on Saturday at dusk with guests enjoying a casual evening at a lovely West Linn country setting sipping cocktails in the barn, dining under the tent and completing the evening with specialty ice cream and dancing. During the event’s special appeal, $87,553 was raised for Albertina Kerr’s Employment and Day Services program, including Project SEARCH, a nine month internship program which provides young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities valuable job skills, meaningful employment, and a start to their career path. Program graduate Austin, along with his parents, shared their touching story of Austin’s journey to the start of his career. To watch Austin's story, click here.
24 Hours of Kerr ended with our Golf Tournament at Columbia Edgewater Country Club and finished with an exciting shoot-out. Justin Berry and Nick Krauter from the Househappytrax team won the shoot-out grand prize, a trip to the Mercedes-Benz Dealership Golf Championship Western Sectional in Pinehurst, North Carolina, courtesy of Mercedes-Benz of Portland.
All event proceeds will go toward strengthening Oregon families and communities by helping children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, empowering them to live richer lives.
