This innovative project will provide a much needed affordable housing option for Kerr’s and other community caregivers, as well as fully accessible independent living opportunities for 30 adults experiencing I/DD.

Rates and Eligibility

Rent will cover utilities (electricity, water, sewer), including internet. Cable television is not included.

Max income is the total of all incomes in an apartment. Rent will be based on current Median Family Income (MFI) levels published by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

How do I prove my income level for eligibility?

All applicants who are over 18 years of age will be required to verify their income. The total household income must be below the maximum allowed for the unit size.

Are there common spaces?

Yes. There are a number of common spaces (both inside and outside), including seating areas off of the elevators on floors 2, 3, and 4, and a community room on the first floor for meetings and events. An outdoor courtyard will have playground equipment and barbecue for gatherings. 

Can anyone apply?

Yes.

Are there laundry rooms?

​Yes. Each floor in the building will have two laundry rooms with commercial washers and dryers that can be operated using a phone app with variable pricing, depending on the day/time you do your laundry (it will be cheaper to do laundry during weekdays and in the evenings or nighttime).

Will there be electric car charging stations?

Yes. There will be initially a small number of charging stations. Infrastructure is planned to install more charging stations in the future.

Will there be parking?

Yes. There will be 127 parking spaces for residents of the building.

Will there be bike storage?

Yes.
