Dear Friend of Kerr,
Recent federal policy changes have brought uncertainty, raising concerns for many, including those we support and work alongside. At Albertina Kerr, who we are and what we stand for remains the same.
Our core values—Compassion, Partnership, Advocacy, Accountability, and Innovation—guide everything we do. These values shape our commitment to diversity, fostering inclusion, expanding opportunities, and ensuring everyone we support is treated with dignity and respect.
Albertina Kerr will continue to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where all individuals—regardless of background, ability, or identity—can thrive.
As we uphold these values in our daily work, I’m excited to share news that reflects our commitment to community and growth.
I’m proud to share that Nadja Sailesman, Kerr’s Chief Program Officer, has joined the Clackamas Workforce Partnership (CWP) Board of Directors. CWP connects businesses, workforce services, and job seekers to create inclusive, accessible career pathways—and Nadja’s leadership will be a tremendous asset. (Pictured top left)
Thank you to The Oregonian and all who contributed to this year’s Season of Sharing campaign! Their generous $12,876 donation directly supports Kerr’s mission, and we are truly grateful. (Pictured top right: Sean Sterling from The Oregonian presents a check to Scott Shlaes, Kerr Chief Development Officer, and me.)
I’m honored to be named a 2025 Executive of the Year by the Portland Business Journal (PBJ)—a recognition of our collective impact. Kerr’s mission is fueled by our dedicated team, Board members, and supporters like you. Together, we’re empowering those we support to lead self-determined lives.
I’m looking forward to being a guest mentor at the PBJ’s Women’s Summit—Mentoring Monday—February 24! I’ll be sharing insights on Nonprofit Board Service alongside inspiring women from various industries. If you’re interested, I’d love to see you there! Get tickets here.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Warmly,
Allison Stark
