Our group homes provide opportunities for residents to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible with services that support each individual’s special needs.
Adult Group Homes
Kerr operates 34 community-based residential homes in Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Each home is supported by a highly-qualified staff.
Our focus is to enable our residents to be as independent as possible and to gain increased choice and control over their lives.
All residents have their own private bedroom, decorated according to their wishes. All homes are equipped to meet the needs of the people we serve.
Youth Group Homes
We have 20 neighborhood group homes, offering support and life-skills training for children and teens ages 7-18.
Our homes offer a stable, safe, and nurturing environment. Children are comforted knowing they have a place to call home and can enjoy the privacy of their own bedroom.
We focus on life-skill development, education, behavior management, and appropriate socialization. The staff work as team with family members, psychiatrists, therapists, and behavior support specialists to develop each child’s individual support plan and help them achieve their fullest potential.

Portland Art and Learning Studios (PALS)
It’s with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult and necessary decision to permanently close the PALS program effective October 30, 2020.
We know this is not easy to hear about. As we look toward the post-pandemic future, we remain hopeful that Oregon and the nation will recover from this unprecedented time. Kerr has a legacy of 113 years of service to the most vulnerable children, teens, and adults in the region—it is critical that we ensure a solid foundation for the community we serve. Our clients and families are counting on us to be here for generations to come.
